BRENDERUP®
Frequently Asked Questions
- What can I
use to tow a Brenderup Trailer?
There are numerous options for towing Brenderup Trailers,
including many SUVs and passenger cars. Please visit
our Towing info page for more
information. Also, go to
etrailer.com and
look up your vehicle. If it can take a Class III
hitch, has at least a 93 inch wheelbase and develops 125
horsepower, you can pull even a Baron! A
Solo or a Prestige only require a Class II hitch.
-
What size towing ball will I need?
2 inch
-
How high should the ball be from the ground?
18"
to 19" from ground to top of ball
-
What is the standard electrical plug
on a Brenderup?
7 pin like is on most
trucks these days (RV plug).
-
Can I get my own Brenderup built with a different pin
configuration?
Yes. It can be a
4, a 6 or a 7.
Adaptors can be found at most Walmarts.
-
Do I need a special jack if I were to have a tire issue?
The jack
supplied with your vehicle will work fine.
Each Brenderup is supplied with a tire iron as well.
-
Do I need an electric brake adapter installed in my
vehicle?
No.
Brenderup has 'inertia brakes' which handle the braking
on their own
-
Where can I get replacement tires for a Brenderup?
You can purchase tires online at
TireFactory.net
- your Brenderup comes with Steel belted
radial passenger tires, but, a light truck tire will work also.
For a Royal or Baron the information
we have is 205/65/R1599H, part
T443442.
-
Where can I get my Brenderup repaired if something were
to happen?
Most RV or trailer
places can work on Brenderups. Also, ASAP Trailers
near Houston can do major Brenderup work.
-
Is Lucas & Liebe open on the weekends?
Yes,
from 10 to 2 on Saturday, and other times by
appointment
(512) 288-8450
-
Do you ever have used Brenderups?
Yes, we do
on occasion. But, not often! Check our
Current Inventory page for
availability.
- Is it possible to carry a
large motorcycle (like a Honda Gold Wing) in a Solo?
Yes, to be certain, we went to Woods Honda Fun Center in
Austin. The
guys there were kind enough to load a Gold Wing into a Solo
for me. The Solo or the Baron ONE
is perfect for the family with a horse AND a motorcycle!
- Can I buy towing parts online?
Yes, two good sites is
www.NationalTrailerSupply.com and
www.etrailer.com for trailer hitches,
trailer balls, receiver extenders, ball
mounts, etc. I would suggest however, to
have your towing package installed at a business who
specializes in that, or your vehicle dealer.
- Will my car be able to handle a Brenderup?
If you have a 93" wheelbase, can develop 125 h.p. and you can
install a Class II hitch for a Solo, Prestige, or Baron
ONE or a Class III hitch for a Royal or Baron, then, the
answer is YES. Go to
www.etrailer.com
to determine if your vehicle will take those class of
hitch. Just do a search on your vehicle and
if they offer those hitches, then, you are set.
